Our story
On 1st october 2005 founder and CEO Martin Heininger started his freelance career. He had been an employee with several companies before, all of them in safety critical industries.
Becoming a freelancer made his dream come true. This way he could realize his longing for high project quality and customer orientation while being economically independent.
From the start, his focus was on systems- and software engineering, software verification and requirements engineering. Initially his projects were mainly in the domain of avionics, but since 2011 he extended his range of acitivities into automation technology, railway and automotive industries.
Customers may since benefit from his wide experience and the knowledge and best practices he gained from many successfully completed projects.
In January 2018 HEICON – Global Engineering GmbH was founded realizing the goal to support the customers more professionally, with a broader portfolio.

BodenseeAIRea
BodenseeAirea was founded as a regional cluster initiative by the business development department of the Bodenseekreis.
Numerous firms and the project partners Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, Campus Friedrichshafen, Fraunhofer IAO, Hochschule Konstanz, IHK Bodensee-Oberschwaben and Zeppelin university are actively involved in this cluster. The cluster’s aim is to better exploit the innovation potential of its members by close collaboration and networking.
ASQF
The “Arbeitskreis Software-Qualität und -Fortbildung e.V. (ASQF)” is a network of competence to improve software quality in the german-speaking area.
The binding goal of more than 1400 members, amongst them global players, medium-sized companies, experts, universities and research organizations is to support and develop quality standards in the IT and communications business.
E4Y – Embedded4You
The association “Embedded4You e.V.” was founded in 2007 to summarize and strenghten the advantages of small companies (e.g. close costumer relation and flexibility) in order to turn them into an equal player facing large enterprises.
Small and medium-sized companies in the german-speaking area have gathered in “Embedded4You” to flexibly combine their knowledge and power.
